Praying to Catholic Images in the Bible

Christians should not imitate the way of life of the pagans.

Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Exodus 23:24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

Do after their works like making a graven image and praying on it.

Jeremiah 10:2 This is what the Lord says:

“Do not learn the ways of the nations
or be terrified by signs in the heavens,
though the nations are terrified by them.
Jeremiah 10:3 For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.

Jeremiah 10:4 They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.

Jeremiah 10:5 Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them; (NIV)
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good.”
